Dr. Dick Bridy is an entrepreneur and the CEO of DBI Group (DBI) and Bedrock Investments Group (BIG), Bedrock 1st Mortgage, DBI Commercial Real Estate, and a principal of DBI Asset Management. Dick has more than forty years of commercial real estate development, brokerage, investment, leasing, private equity sourcing, operations, construction, and asset management experience. He and his team obtained entitlements and built two shopping centers and five single-tenant properties. In addition, Dick has contracted for the redevelopment of over 3.5 million sq. ft. in 14 shopping centers in the Midwest and the Western US. Dick has served as a commercial real estate legal consultant in cases including asset, property and portfolio management, commercial litigation, development/redevelopment, insurance, and realtor litigation. He has been engaged by both plaintiff and defense attorneys.
An accomplished scholar, Dr. Bridy is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.Sc. in Economics. His graduate studies garnered academic honors recognition from the San Diego State University Graduate School of Business, the Marshall School at the University of Southern California, and the University of Phoenix, from which he received an MBA, EMBA, and Ph.D. respectively. For decades, Dr. Bridy has served on the boards of many prominent real estate organizations, including the National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, San Diego County Commercial Association of Realtors, and CCIM.

Our streamlined acquisition process, and in-depth due diligence, result in noteworthy investment opportunities. Our team identifies undervalued net leased properties throughout the U.S. that have solid fundamentals and creditworthy tenants. Bedrock acquires these freestanding, single tenant net leased (STNL) properties as long-term investments. BIG has property holdings in California, Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Texas, Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky, and Oklahoma. BIG has purchased nearly thirty million dollars ($30 M) in STNL projects since December 2011.

It also coordinates, supervises entitlements, architectural design, construction bidding and supervision, leasing and re-merchandising strategies.

Thespian: As a Supernumerary (“Supers”) or amateur character actor in a non-singing role, Dick has made over 145 stage appearances. Since 2001, he performed in 31 grand opera productions by the San Diego Opera and the production of Romeo and Juliet by The Stuttgart Ballet. Versatility in roles is his specialty as a Cardinal, Bishop, Mayor, soldier, and more across diverse cultures and time periods, with signature roles include the Mayor and barroom pugilist in Carmen and the Philistine Commander, Abimélech, in Sampson and Delilah.
Theatrical Production: Dick and Ginny have been financial sponsors and volunteers at North Coast Repertory Theater (North Coast Rep) for over a decade and San Diego Opera for over 3 decades.
Humanitarian – The Great Earthquake: Dick, a compassionate construction expert, led relief efforts in Nepal following the 2015 Great Earthquake on behalf of Nepal Orphan’s Home. His team built a 2,000 SF temporary school in a Himalayan village in Ramachhap, salvaging materials from damaged structures. They also stockpiled supplies for post-monsoon season reconstruction.
Equine Rescue Volunteer: Dick volunteered with local animal welfare organizations, including Saving Horses, Inc. and Horses of Tir Na Nog, a horse sanctuary.
Children’s Health: Dedicated volunteer and fundraiser for The Great Cycle Challenge USA (GCC), supporting children’s cancer research. Over 15,700 kids are diagnosed with cancer yearly; 38 tragically die weekly. He has biked over 6,100 miles and raised over $24,000 for this worthy cause.
Veteran Welfare: Stop Soldier Suicide is a veteran-led organization providing mental health support to veterans. Over 22 veterans die by suicide daily. To raise funds and awareness, he has trekked hundreds of miles carrying a 35-lb. pack, aiming to prevent veteran crises. In 2026, he committed to walk two (2) 31-mile day treks to raise over $3,000.
